Liberal Democrat Local Parties in NorfolkThe basic building blocks of the Party organisation are the autonomous Local Parties, which are based on Westminster parliamentary constituencies. The map of Norfolk shows the current layout of constituencies. If you click on your constituency, you will be taken to the page about your Local Party.
Norfolk currently comprises eight parliamentary constituencies though a recent boundary review will increase the number of Norfolk MPs to nine with most boundaries changing. These new constituencies will be used at the next general election. Currently one constituency, North Norfolk, is held by the Liberal Democrats, three, Great Yarmouth and the two Norwich seats, by Labour and the remaining four by the Conservatives. A Liberal Democrat Local Party operates in each of the eight constituencies.
The constituency reorganisation will involve the creation of a new Broadland seat in the middle of the county. The Liberal Democrats are changing their organisation to match the new boundaries. For further details go to the Boundary Commission for England’s
